Festival Light Wedding at Philbrook Museum of Art in Tulsa

Sometimes you gotta be extra and ask your venue to turn on their garden festival lights for some holiday cheer during your wedding.

I can’t tell everyone enough how much fun Jesse & Madeline’s microwedding was. The fall color palette paired with the Philbrook Museum of Art made for such dreamy scenery. As full of joy Jesse & Madeline are, their entire wedding party and guests matched their positive energy, too. From the first look, to wedding party portraits, to the ceremony and reception – smiles were always present.

When I first had a chance to chat with Jesse & Madeline, my first thought was: “wow, these two are so easy to talk to. I love their joy.” We got to talking about how they met & once I heard the story, it was obvious to me that we needed to recreate it to finish off their wedding day. Skee ball at The Max Retropub in Downtown, Tulsa was their very first date, so I join their afterparty to document the vibrant & colorful environment of The Max while Jesse & Madeline played skee ball surrounded by their best friends.

What’s really special about weddings like Jesse & Madeline’s is that it’s about their love. You don’t need a huge guest list to have a dream day, but what you do need is each other to cheer on, smile with, and even be your knight and shining armor when a bee latches onto your wedding dress and holds on for dear life. (Props to Jesse on that one).
