With Mt. Shuksan in the distance, Dan & Ish recited their vows on a mountainside for their intimate elopement at sunset.
North Cascades National Park takes over the greater part of northwestern Washington, where you can see majestic mountain scenery, snowfields, glaciers, and alpine meadows, cascading waterfalls, and many other unique natural features. Which of course – leaves the North Cascades as a stunning backdrop for an elopement, especially Dan & Ish’s casual vow reading & couple portraits. For an outdoorsy couple down for the adventure, you can’t go wrong by choosing this treasured Washington park.
In-Home, Cabin Couple Session before the Ceremony
Dan & Ish reserved a cabin in the woods – not too far from the ceremony spot & instead of the traditional getting ready photos, they opted for a sweet, in-home session in the cabin! They thought it would be more meaningful to them in the future, and I’m a fan of the intimate nature of these photos – just chillin’ in the living room and enjoying the peace before all of the excitement.
Writing Vows in the North Cascades Cabin
Before heading to the ceremony location, Dan & Ish began their vows separately among the pine tree backyard, until ultimately, they found their way finishing them side by side in the cabin.
Short Drive for a North Cascades Elopement Ceremony
Only a short drive from the cabin, we set off to our mountainside ceremony location with a scenic view of Mt. Shuksan. From here, we took a very casual approach, taking sunset couple photos surrounded by beautiful PNW views, and finding our way up the road to exchange their handwritten vows. To celebrate the end of an incredible evening, Dan & Ish popped champagne with their jeep lights glowing behind them. It was an epic way to finish it all off!
